DJ looking to use little equipment. Computer to speakers.
First, we had all individual pieces of equipment. Now as time goes on, we found out that we no longer need to have mixers and amps. with us anymore. All we now have to do is whip out the laptop, turn it on, and set up our self-powered speakers right to the the laptop with some special cables and then we are ready to go.
DJing has gotten a lot simpler these days than when I first started DJing.
Each individual turntable, cassette player, cd player, mini disc (if you were special.) Then adding all the separate speakers, amps., crossovers, limiters, and a mixer.
Boy, have the times changed for us. If you are starting out in this field, you really don’t know how hard it was to carry enough records and tapes with you to make it through the night without any repeating of songs until you started making enough money to buy more!
So don’t think that you have it so hard holding over 500,000 mp3′s in your two fingers, on an item that is no bigger than a quarter. WOW, THEY ARE SO HEAVY!!!!
